Subject: The Saga of a Steel Magnolia in Silicon Valley

Hi All,

'On The Road Again.' Willie Nelson never sang a truer song in my opinion because it has become my marching music in the last two years. Miss Katherine and I leave California in a week and a half. Next destination? Texas...north of Dallas actually. I have accepted the offer of a company there and will be on the road soon. Light a candle for me.

Last week passed in a tizzy. I expect the next one to be little better. Packing, thinking about packing, and finding a new place to live are the burning issues right now. This assignment is different from the others that I have accepted in the past. More on 'the why' in another saga.

They have a really bizarre weather effect out here. We noticed that when the clouds come in off the ocean they bump into the mountains. The top layer goes over the mountains and then the remainder crawls over and down the other side. Strange. You can see parts of the mountains and then other parts just disappear in the mist (smog).

Do you hate those awful internet cookies as much as I do? Well, I spent some time on the subject and found the following info. I have a section with these sites listed on my home page under the SPAM section which also has anti-spam info available now.

Okay, enough of the net stuff...for now.

Miss Katherine successfully completed her first fencing and dance lessons. With her new drivers license, I think she is set to take on the world.

BTW...I still hate WIN95 and I hope that Bill Gates finds seeds in all of his watermelons for the remainder of his life.

Take care and write when you can.
