  • Since 1992, Art Italo has consulted with lawyers to help make their practices and firms successful. In that time he has spent more than 10,000 hours in individual consultation with lawyers helping them build successful practices. He works through individual consultations and lectures to improve business and marketing skills and imbue "success habits".  He has over 30 years experience in marketing, management and planning.

Focus

  • Business Development - Working individually and in groups to teach attorneys effective networking and marketing concepts that help them acquire referrals in an ethically appropriate and professional manner.
  • Strategic Planning - Developing business plans that set clear objectives, strategies and tactics, maximize profitability and anticipate growth.
  • Business Management - Offering strategies for hiring, organizational structure, personnel management, compensation plans, operational budgeting and expense control.

  • Consulted with the partners in the establishment of a three person firm that went from ground zero to over $1 million in receipts from corporate transactional matters in the first year. The firm attributes their extraordinary growth to the effectiveness of leveraged networking techniques.
  • Worked with a young solo practitioner who took his estate planning practice from $60K per year to over $350K in just three years.

  • Establishing A Firm Mission Statement - A workshop designed to clarify the partner's vision of the firm's purpose and future and create a Mission Statement to guide goal setting and strategic decision making. Given to firms of five or more partners.
  • Establishing A Firm Marketing Plan - A workshop designed to facilitate development of a firm marketing plan setting up individual marketing accountabilities for each partner and discussing effective techniques for cross selling the firm's practice areas.

 


Career Highlights

  • Managed $40 million sales and distribution operation covering five states for Thomas J. Lipton, Inc. gaining experience in Sales, Marketing, Strategic Planning, Management and Personnel. Promoted five times in eight years.
  • Worked 4 years as an executive recruiter placing management and technical personnel in Fortune 500 companies gaining experience in networking, referral based marketing and career planning.
