If you were a member of the 1985 or 1986 Showcase Talent Team that toured / performed throughout various parts of Europe and Asia to include: Germany, France, Holland, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Spain, and England then you
might know Steve Ragland Base level competition began at Bitburg Airbase where I was stationed with the 32nd Adcom Army Unit and won as a self accompanied vocalist in 1985 and 1986. I also took first place as part of a four member vocal group in 1985 and second place in 1986 as part of an instrumental group. The vocal group qualified at regionals held in Spangdahlem Germany and I also advanced in the self-accompanied category. Although I did not win at the Finals in either category I received the opportunity to be auditioned for Showcase from among the top performers and was selected to tour in both years. Along the way I made many good friends whom I will never forget. If you were a part of this showcase I hope that this website touches you with good memories.
