Excel version 5, 97 and 98 files for Macintosh and PC's, and HyperCard 2.3 stacks for the Macintosh. Macintosh users, without HyperCard 2.3, can download a HyperCard Player which will allow full use of all the HyperCard stacks listed. A free HyperCard Player can be downloaded by clicking Get Player. The memory of the Player should be set at a minimum of 3000K and preferably 4000K (use Get Info under the File menu to increase memory). If you are unsure how to do this, download HyperCard's Disk and Folder Lister, or Excel's Get Info, or Face Span's Set Application Memory file. You can set the memory to any application with these files. PC users without an Excel application can still see the Excel files for PC's listed by downloading a free Excel viewer. If you wish to download this viewer, click on Download Excel Viewer.However, the full Excel application must be available to run the macros. All Macintosh Excel version 5 files can be converted to Excel version 98 or later. Excel files for the PC are in version 97 only. Currency Converter is also available in version 98 for the Macintosh. This version allows a direct hyperlink to the Internet for currency factor updates, however, you can use your browser to accomplish the same thing with Excel version 5. Excel files may have to be resized to fit the user's computer. To do this, click on the "Arrange..." menu item under the Window menu. The radio button "Tiled" will be selected. Click OK and the window will be resized. If you have HyperCard 2.3 or 2.3.5 and wish to upgrade to 2.4, just click on Upgrade to 2.4.
Face Span files operate much like HyperCard. If you do not have the FaceSpan application, download the FaceSpan extension, and place it in your extensions file in the System folder. This allows you to operate all the FaceSpan files listed.Download FaceSpan extension.
FileMaker Pro users also have a selection of files to download.

Remove Forwarding Symbols
 To remove the dreaded forwarding symbols (>) in your e-mails, we have a Microsoft Word file that will do just that. Copy the e-mail text to the Word file and then simply run the macro that will delete all these irritating symbols. To download this file for both PC and Macintosh users just click on Download RemoveArrows file.To use this file, you must have the Microsoft Word application. Last Update: 5/11/02. For Macintosh users, a card to remove forwarding symbols is included in HyperCard's Complete Suite as of 7/25/00. HyperCard's Complete Suite.

Non U.S. Users Warning!
 Any macro that requires a currency symbol (i.e. $) will not work properly unless the operating system has been set for United States users. If the computer was purchased in the United States, no changes are required. If purchased outside the United States, Macintosh users require a U.S. setting in the Numbers control panel for the macros to work properly. This control panel can be reached with the Control Panel menu item under the Apple menu, then from the contextual menu select Numbers. Windows users must reset the Regional settings to English (United States). The Regional settings can be reached through the Start button, Settings, Control Panel, and finally Regional Settings. Note: This warning may not be necessary for Excel 2000 users.

Non US users can download three files that don't require a change in the Numbers control panel (Macintosh) and the Regional Settings (Windows). They are found in the Calculator (Short Version Non US User), and the Currency Converter (Non US User), and the XL Menu Enhancer (Non US User).

Occasionally, errors occur in the files posted. If you find one, check the "Last Update:" date on the download web page, and if your download was previous to this date, download the file again as the error could have been corrected in that last update. Besides correcting errors, updates can be regarding additions or improvements.
