These are a Few of My Favorite

Seclogo.gif (3559 bytes)Two Daves Pick The SEC:   THE place for first-rate prognosticating of the glory that is SEC Football.  I've been a "Guest Dave" for three years now (2-2 this season, unfortunately).

User Friendly:  Think Bloom County inhabited by computer geeks.

Gini's Cool Graphics on the Web:   There's a lot of stuff at the site, plus links to even more--clip art, animated gifs, fonts, etc.  An invaluable resource for those of us without the time to learn all the ins and outs of a good paint program.

Arden Online--This site has two areas--the pay area gives you access to the entire Arden Shakespeare.  The second area, which is free, has online research tools.

The Weather Channel:  I spend 60% of the year on the road.  One week I'm in Tampa, the next, Columbia, SC, then L.A.   I need to know what to pack!

The Islets of Langerhans:  Harlan Ellison is one of my favorite writers.  This isn't exactly his site--he detests the web--hell, he still works on a manual typewriter--but a devoted group of acolytes maintain this site.

Mike.GIF (2897 bytes) Doonesbury Electronic Town Hall:   Having once been described as "Mike Doonesbury with an attitude," I just had to include this link.  As an added bonus, for those who live in some wretched backwater where Doonesbury is not carried, go here for recent strips.

image2t.jpeg (2350 bytes)Chef Internet:  Chef! is a  BBC show that is an absolute delight.  Lenny Henry is Gareth Blackstock, the best chef in England (in Europe?  the world?), and heaven protect the hapless individual who gets between Gareth and gastronomic perfection.  The site has a link to Amazon.com, where you can order Chef! videos.

lumicon.gif (2484 bytes)Luminarium:  The lone sop to my graduate school days.  This wonderful site has a wealth for information on medieval, Renaissance, and 17th century English literature.  You need Augustine?  I've got your Augustine right here, buddy.

Horror Classics:  Check this site out!

The Brunching Shuttlecocks:  The perfect place to go for your daily dose of oddball humor.  A personal favorite is "The Phantom Menace Revealed."

Web Tracker:  A solid web counter service that also provides great statistics--even telling you if people are returning to your site.
