The Abayudaya's Moses Synagogue, on Nabugoye Hill outside of Mbale, Uganda. There are five synagogues in the Abayudaya community, including the distant Namutumba synagogue. The Moses synagogue is the newest. "Rabbi" Gershom leads services there in Hebrew and English and "Rabbi" Mishael gives a sermon every Friday night on the week's parsha in the local language, Luganda. The Synagogue serves as a meeting hall for community meetings and an informal gathering spot for celebrations and events. It also doubles as a classroom for the community's Semei Kakungulu High School.
