"Rabbi" Mishael, an elder of the Abayudaya community. Mishael lives on Nabugoye Hill near the Moses Synagogue. Every Shabbat Mishael walks to 200 meters to the synagogue on his worn, hardened bare feet. When the time comes he delivers a sermon about the week's parsha in the local language, Luganda. Mishael can read Hebrew and spends the time he is not farming his small plot of land reading the bible. His sight is failing and he is looking to find a large print Hebrew bible so he can continue to read until he can not see anymore.
