Considering that there were over 950 riders, the support group did a decent job of keeping everything organized. They had aid stations every 15-20 miles that always had plenty of fruit and water and usually Powerbars and Gatorade. There were also bike mechanics at every stop. The support group deserves recognition for keeping everyone well fed and hydrated and being able to quickly help with any mechanical problems. This picture was taken at a aid station not to far from Aspen.
Me and my buddies usually ate breakfast, snacks, and lunch at the aid stations. This picture is of some of the riders at our lunch break atop Tennessee Pass.
For dinner, we splurged and always went into town and ate at one of the local restaurants. They did offer dinner at camp, but who wants to eat in a high school cafeteria?
