My First Digital Camera

On this page you see examples of pictures taken with my first digital camera. My camera looks very much like the one pictured in this site.

Note: You should expect to use a lot of AA batteries with this camera. It takes two at a time, and I seem to have to replace a set every time I download pictures—and I typically download after two to five pictures. The camera can hold up to 16 pictures.

This photo was taken at the Santa Clara, CA, Caltrain station at about 8:20 pm, July 2, 2000. In actuality, the sky was an even tone, without the washed-out area shown. Similarly, the track and roadbed area was not washed out. The specks just to the left of the foreground trees are railroad signals that were easily visible from my position when I took the picture. This picture provides an opportunity to experiment with graphic editing tools to see how much work it takes to improve it. This photo was taken moments before I shot Photo 1. It more accurately represents the scene at that location. By comparing the two pictures, you can see why I had to move, and how relatively slight the movement was.
