Many Ways to Serve

Practitioners interested in volunteering with Healing Works may contribute their time and services to one or more of our four major programs:

One-to-One Holistic Healthcare
Practitioner volunteers meet with one or more no-fee clients referred to them by our service coordinators for individual sessions. You can see clients one time or on an on-going basis--whatever suits your needs.
Outreach to Communities in Need
Our volunteers have the opportunity to go to local community groups and agencies to provide workshops on holistic topics to underserved populations. This is a fantastic way to reach people not often exposed to holistic practices
Care to the Caregivers
Healing Works offers free stress management services to caregivers from local community groups. As a volunteer, you can donate your time to lead sessions on holistic topics or attend the sessions as a participant!
Educational Classes
Practitioner volunteers teach the free classes and workshops at our Wellness Center that are open to the public.

To Receive Complimentary Wellness Day Stress Reduction Retreats
All Healing Works volunteer practitioners are eligible to receive free stress reduction services through our Care to the Caregivers program.
To Participate in Free Trainings and Supervision
Healing Works offers all our volunteers the opportunity to receive free supervision. In addition, we periodically offer complimentary training programs for our volunteers.
To Give Your Services Freely with Love
To protect our non-profit status, Healing Works volunteers may not receive any gifts or money in exchange for their services.

How do I apply to be a Practitioner Volunteer?

Mail or fax back your completed application along with 2 letters of reference from persons who know you in your professional capacity as a holistic practitioner (teachers, peers, etc.)
After we’ve processed your application (which may take 1-2 weeks) we’ll contact you for an orientation interview!
