HealingWorks has lots of opportunities for you
to volunteer to help us in our Manhattan office or Wellness Center! Heres
a list of some of the volunteer opportunities we currently have available.
We also welcome your ideas for volunteering!

Evening
Greeter
Healing Works always needs people to help greet people at our Wellness
Center after office hours. Duties include buzzing people into the
building for classes and answering basic questions about our organization.
A great way to learn more about us and meet lots of people!Time commitment:
5-7 pm, one evening per week.
-
Class
Assistant
If youre taking one of our classes you can help us out by coming
a little early and staying a little late. Teachers often need help
setting up the room for their students and cleaning up afterwards.
This is a fantastic way to help us out while taking advantage of our
wonderful course offerings!Time commitment: 15 minutes before &
15 minutes after class, on a one-time or on-going basis
-
Office
Helper
If you dont have time to volunteer regularly, you can still
help us occasionally with office-related tasks such as mailings, copying
and filing, and light space maintenance such as watering plants, arranging
rooms, etc. This volunteer opportunity is perfect for people who dont
always know their schedule in advance!Time commitment: as needed.
Put your name on our list of people to call when we need help!
-
Librarian
HealingWorks maintains a reference collection of books and magazines
on holistic healing topics that is available for the public to read
in the reception/waiting area of our Wellness Center. Librarians are
responsible for keeping the books neat, tracking missing books, and
sometimes writing to publishers asking for donations of books on relevant
topics. Time commitment: 1-2 hours week during or after office hours
on an on-going basis
