Outpatient Counseling for
Youth, Adults, Couples, and Families
Outpatient Counseling involves a series of one hour counseling sessions offered once or twice per week. Clients attend sessions individually and/or with their family members. A skilled, professional counselor helps to address and resolve a variety of personal and family concerns.
Outpatient Counseling Includes:
Individual Counseling - to provide confidential sessions to address a client's specific needs.
Family Counseling - to assist family members in working out related issues and providing needed support.
Education to help clients and their families to better understand the issues they are struggling with together.
Christian Counseling for Youth, Adults, Couples, and Families
Turning Point offers Christian Counseling for youth, adults, couples, and families in a confidential setting. Skilled professional counselors help to address personal and family issues from a Bible centered Christian perspective.
Areas addressed include: spiritual conflicts and confusion; emotional and relational challenges; job and career change; separation, divorce and remarriage issues; substance abuse and addictions; parenting issues, etc.
About the Director
Jeffrey C. Pearce, M.Ed., Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS). Mr. Pearce has been assisting youth, adults and their family members with behavioral, emotional and substance abuse issues since 1985.
Mr. Pearce received his Bachelor's degree in psychology in 1988, and then earned his Master's degree in Counseling in 1991, both from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. His graduate studies included individual and group counseling theory and practice, as well as a major concentration in family therapy.
Prior to earning his Master's degree, Mr. Pearce worked as a counselor in a variety of settings in Massachusetts, including a shelter for adolescents, two residential homes for adolescents, and an adolescent unit at a psychiatric hospital. He also taught woodshop to emotionally and behaviorally challenged adolescents for two years.
Since earning his Master's degree, Mr. Pearce has worked with youth and families as an In-Home Therapist at the Rumbaugh Clinic in Fayetteville for two years. He also developed and ran a family centered Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program for substance abusing adolescents and their families at Pathways Counseling Center in Raleigh for four years. Mr. Pearce developed and began Turning Point in the summer of 1997.
