Camellia Lane play indiepop music. Sometimes jangly, sometimes fuzzy, sometimes frenetic, sometimes gentle... they play songs of longing and anguish with boy and girl vocals.

Formed in early 1998, Camellia Lane are a three-piece from Chicago. Rick Hellebrand [guitar, vocals, bass], of the Washington D.C. hardcore and, later, indiepop scene, played in The Drempels. Heide Enriquez [bass, vocals, guitar] giggles and can do an amazingly loud tongue-click. Jim Curran, who grew up playing along with John Bonham on the turntable, drums.

They're not trying to change the world. They just want to have fun playing live and recording pop songs.

"CAMELLIA LANE'S demo really stood out of our pile...they ply [a] well-crafted, melodic, female-fronted punk-rock combo that sounds a heck of a lot like Tiger Trap with a bit more growl." - Empty Bottle
