"The Three Horseshoes at Letchmore Heath - otherwise known as the Vaults at Mithering in 'Dead Man's Treasure' (notice the giveaway fence on the left.) Letchmore Heath featured in loads of shows - Department S, etc and is a real sleepy village. This picture was taken in the summer of 1991, shortly after I'd attended the last days of Elstree itself. Parking in the village is abysmal, but the pub food at the Horseshoes more than makes up for it." "...Elstree Studios itself, taken in 1989, when first rumours of closure hit. This is as best seen in 'How To Succeed At Murder...'. As you can see from the decline, nothing had been done to the building since a repaint in the early 70s and it was in fact unchanged from its Avenger days."
