Review Saticoy Senior Men's Golf Club Annual Fall BBQ 2009
       Another good time was had by all Friday evening, October 23, 2009 at our Annual "Fall Barbecue". Thank you to our Barbecue Chairman, Michael Fausset, and his crew for a great job, and very successful Barbecue that golfers, spouses, and guests attended. This was a delightful evening of excellent food, great company, and lots of fun.
       Preparation for the Barbecue began at 9:30 am Friday morning with the set-up crew arriving to set the tables and chairs, and decorate the Elks Lodge. Many thanks to the set up crew: Jim Mirick, Don Walker, Jerry Workman, George Rose, Ray Palmer, Joe Henry, Dick Kohnmann, Skip Ramsey, Jim Smith, Charlie Gallardo, Alex Graham, David Escamilla, Ben Herigstad, Garry Greysen, Michael Fausset, Jim Olguin, Joe Henry, Jeff Hartman, Duane McIntosh, Dwayne Zukowski, and Daryl Holder.
     Our Chef's for the evening were: Michael Fausset (The Boss),  Ron Laufer, Joe Henry, (Great Pot of Chile Beans Joe, Von Williams, David Escamilla, and Daryl Holder .. I can tell you that these guys worked really hard most of the day Friday to make this event happen. Thank you so much for your time and efforts. Michael Fausset was also responsible for purchasing all the food.

   Those people providing the items to support our raffle prizes were: Arlene &  Dick Kohnmann,  Jim Olguin, Garry Greysen, Skip & Molly Ramsey, Dwayne & Susan Zukowski, George & Sharon Rose, Jim Miller, Richard & Maria Atmore, R. A. Cattle Company, R.A. Atmore & Sons Inc., Bob & Bev Charbonneau. Thank You Pearl for your home made flower boxes..   
    The desserts for the evening were supplied by: Millie Walker, Virginia Workman, Roberta Smith, Pearl Ulreich, Lefty & Dolores Pulido, Molly Ramsey, Karen Pena, Karen & Susan Zukowski, Kay Mendel Olguin, Julie Herigstad, Charlene Carlson, Eleanor Batterson, Ruth Downey, Bev Charbonneau.  All the desserts were just wonderful as usual, thank you sooooo much.     
    Those that assisted Jim Mirick with the raffle delivering prizes were: Joe Henry & Jerry Kehoe.     
     Last but not least, Jim Mirick, Our Club President, Saticoy Senior Men's Golf Club, did a great job at the Microphone keeping everything going through out the evening, introducing, recognizing our special guests and thanking all for their attendance to make this another successful Fall BBQ.
     To start our evening Jim Mirick led us all in "The Pledge of Allegiance" followed by a moment of silence to honor the recent passing of four of our Club Members: Darrell Downey, Les Helm, Dick Van Nest and Gordon Paul Jones.
     Frank Allison, New Board Member, Club Scholarship Fund Director presented our golf clubs new Scholarship Application Information in the name of "Darrell A. Downey Memorial Golf Scholarship".
