Bridger Wilderness - Pinedale Wyoming - August 14 - 22

www.bwo.com

This year's adventure takes us back to the Bridger Wilderness and a favorite Outfitter - Tim Singewald of Bridger Wilderness Outfitters.  The highlights of the trip will be an overnight stay at Tim's ranch on both ends of the trip where we will be fed a hearty, near gourmet dinner meals and whopping breakfast meals cooked and prepared in the cookhouse on a wood stove and served in the dining cabin.

The adventure part starts at Green River Lakes trail head.  From there we proceed by a 7 mile horseback ride to our camp site at Slide Lake, a high altitude lake above the Green River in the Bridger Wilderness.

Gear will be packed in by pack stock.  Livestock and guide will return to Tim's ranch and will return to recover us on our departure from Slide Lake.  Click Pic for larger view

While at Slide Lake, some may attempt day hikes up to a glacier area.  Seven of the ten largest glaciers in the U.S. are located in the Wilderness Area.   Click Pic for larger view

Another day hike up to a saddle between Lost Eagle Peak and White rock to view and photograph the Green River Valley and the many high peaks beyond from a 10,999 ft. perch will be attempted. Click Pic for larger view

After being recovered from the Slide Lake campsite we return to a campsite at Green River Lakes for a couple of days fishing at the lower altitude lakes and many nearby creeks as well as the Green River itself.  Some day hike opportunities exist to visit a natural bridge up Clear Creek and a couple of water falls and nearby small lakes.

The trip ends back at Tim's ranch for an overnight stay to rest and freshen up prior to departure back to our various originations.
