The Play Yard Fees and Schedule
Hours of Operation: Tuesday–Friday, 9:00–2:00 and 9:00–4:30
Extended hours: 8:30–9:00
Schedule options: three consecutive days or full time (4 days a week). This allows children to have sequential play days so that they can build upon their play with their peers.
Ages: 2.9 years–Pre-kindergarten age
Tuition is due on the first of the month. The school year begins the day after Labor Day and ends mid-July (10 1/2 months).
Fees
- $25.00 application fee
- $150.00 deposit upon acceptance (This deposit will go towards the first month's tuition.)
- The First and Last Month's tuition fee (due on the first day child begins)
- Annual material fees: $125 per child (due on first day child begins)
School Calendar
The School Year is 10 1/2 months long. The school will be closed the last two weeks of July through Labor day and reopens the day after the Labor Day holiday.
Paid Vacation: I will close the school for a two-week winter break (includes Christmas day and New years Day) and one week in the spring. Winter and Spring breaks will correspond to the Berkeley Unified School District Calendar
School Closed (Paid Holidays): Indigenous People’s Day, Vets, Thanksgiving Break (Thursday and Friday) Martin Luther King Jr Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day and Independence Day.
Food and Activities
Snacks: Nutritious organic food provided
Lunch: Bring own
Naps: Naps are on cots; we provide sheets that are laundered weekly. Child brings own blanket.
Parent Participation
Children will go on neighborhood walks, take BART/bus to different field trip locations. Parents requested to join when needed.
Facility Improvements: Six hours per family at the end of the school year
