The Eighties had a lot going for them, music-wise. New Wave was still waving, Reggae was still the rage, and rock bands were finding new and alternative ways of expressing themselves. This set is my most uptempo flatliner of all, brisk jogging with only a warmup, cooldown, and short break. Yet all these songs deliver tonality (tunishness? Tune-esscence?), great lyrics, infectious beats, the whole nine yards—none of them will plow you under or bash your head in. Join the elite!
