Somewhere between a blues band and the world’s first great Power Pop trio, Cream burst onto the 60s scene with a brilliance that hasn’t faded, even though they only put out four albums before Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce parted ways. They arguably hit their high point with Disraeli Gears, artfully blending guitar, drums, and bass into a brew as lyrical as it was strange.
