Whether cranking out Punk Garage, tripping with whimsy and flutes, or joining classical guitar to classic hard rock, Love took a wonderful kaleidoscopic approach to music in the LA 60s pop scene. Front man Arthur Lee was a true rock chameleon, and it’s a shame the group didn’t hold together long enough to move past the psychedelic folk blues era. What they did leave us, though, is enough material for a most excellent wog. If you haven’t heard these songs, they will blow your mind (but not your legs)!
