Whatever your opinion of disco, you can’t deny that the beat is extremely consistent; this is my only woglist with Very Low pace variability so far that also isn’t a Flatliner. The genre itself is the offspring of urban funk and glitzy gay club culture, each facet with their distinct style. At its best, disco was infectious and fun; at its worst it was repetitive, banal, and the triumph of style over substance. Though the fad is gone, the glitter remains, and you don’t need a polyester suit to hit the dance floor–or the wogging track.
