The 60s opened the floodgates, and the 70s saw a profusion of musical styles spill forth over the airways and onto records and 8-track tapes. Psychedelia morphed into progressive rock; blues into heavy metal; soul into funk, reggae, and (alas) disco. Once cutting-edge folk-rock devolved into mellow country rock. Ballrooms gave way to enormous, commercially-run arena gigs, and punk and New Wave came along to give pop music a shot in the arm. This set covers a lot of territory, as it should. It’s also easy on the legs; I recommend taking this one into the hills, if you have ‘em, for that extra cardio push.
