Descendants of Andrew Hampton ... principally in the line of his great-great granddaughter, Laura Clementine Hampton, wife of Cpt. John Adrian Davis of Albany, Georgia. History of The Company G, 8th Georgia David Green Fleming, my great-great grandfather, served in the 8th Georgia Regiments Company G, The Pulaski Volunteers, from its inception early in 1861 to the close of the Civil War. He was at both battles at Manassas and at Lees surrender at Appomattox Court House, rising along the way from company private to Ordnance Sergeant of the Regiment.
