In this dream of his, he surprised me by getting another kitten, Cricket, Jake's little brother, gray and white like him, with deformed feet. He was getting the kitten to distract Jake from licking me, hoping he'd lick the kitten instead. It didn't work. However, when he arrived home with his little kitty surprise, I had a surprise of my own waiting for him. I had found a litter of newborn kittens (6 or 12 of them) that had been adandoned by their mother, and I brought them home to raise until they were old enough to be adopted, hoping to inspire Comiskey's maternal instincts. It didn't work. Comiskey has no maternal instincts. However, Wrigley did a great job as the surrogate mom for the litter of kittens. (And he says he doesn't want any more cats!)
