Weimer World last updated 11-Dec-2006 09:15 PMAll of my efforts at webpages evolved from my original attempts to create a personal Start Page, this page in fact. Evolved from a single home page starting on August 22,1996 Weimer World and its allied sites together now have more pages than a Peter F. Hamilton (or Robert Jordan) novel! Well, almost... The Music Page. Mindspring has given me more lebensraum, and so I have moved this back to Mindspring. New Location, same great Midis. Some Quick Facts about me
![]() If I was a noble or a knight in medieval times, my heraldic device would likely be a dodecahedron, this 12 sided platonic solid to the right, to symbolize my diversity of interests. Yeah, I know there are lots of geometric solids with even more sides, but the dodecahedron is my favorite. As you might expect, I like heraldry as well, as you also can see from the Fleurs on the background. Science Fiction and other literary pursuitsI love to read Science Fiction and Fantasy. I have read them ever since my older brother gave me a copy of the Martian Chronicles back when I was 8 or 9. Asimov, Clarke, Heinlein, Tolkien, and a myriad of others soon followed. Heck, I managed the feat of reading the entire Lord of the Rings in a weekend (since the animated version was going to be on TV, and I wanted to be prepared)What do I like today? My current favorite living authors include Peter F. Hamilton, Greg Bear, and Harry Turtledove to name just a few. My absolute favorite sub-genre of SF is the Alternate History. It was in vogue a couple of years ago in a really big way, which meant that a lot of good novels came out in the sub-genre. Of course, this also means people like Newt Gingrich published SF novels of this theme, but, what can you do?
AmberI love this game, based on the late, great, Roger Zelazny's 10 Novels (and a couple of short stories, and the like). I am an avid on-line e-mail player, and a regular on both the Amber and Chaos mailing lists. If you like Amber,or want to know more about this, then why don't you go and visit my Amber Page?
