NAVAL REACTORS LACK OF INTEGRITY

last update January 20, 2001

NAVAL REACTORS DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO SPELL THE WORD!

NAVAL REACTORS DOESN'T KNOW THE MEANING OF THE WORD!

NAVAL REACTORS HAS NEVER DEMONSTRATED ANY SUCH CHARACTERISTIC!

NAVAL REACTORS TRACK RECORD SHOWS IT TO BE A NO-CLASS OPERATION!

Naval Reactors has been proclaiming their own excellence for the past 50 years, while hiding behind Presidential Executive Order 12344, false claims of national security, and a gag order on contractor employees to avoid any serious independent oversight of its operations. An employee who violates the gag order is subject to loss of job, a $100,000 fine, and life imprisonment … but, you know, whatever it takes to achieve excellence.

Is there anything wrong with this picture … "we won’t let you in to see what we do but we will tell you, unendingly, how great we are"? There certainly is, and for two good reasons: (1) Naval Reactors is far from perfect, and (2) the mythology of Naval Reactor’s excellence is necessary to keep the Congressional money spigot open.

Without doubt, a selective memory such as exhibited by Naval Reactors, would allow most any of us to proclaim excellence. Each of the comments and media articles listed under "The Outrageous Track Record" has its own associated horror story. The few specific items listed below do not begin to convey any real measure of Naval Reactors lack of integrity and their propensity toward total dishonesty and corruption.
