Lizard Dance

	On long lizard toes,
	dance reptilian rhythms,
	Rap a tat-a-too
	on a snake-skin drum.
	Slink that beat
	all slither hipped,
	slit eyed,
	wild.

	Cold-blooded child,
	flicker tongued,
	fly-fed,
	flake that music
	twist the mystic sound,
	scatter desert sand,
	rock-sunned.
 
	Dance, lizard, dart!
	Bang your finger cymbals,
	grind those snake-skinned sandals
	into dust.
