Sleepless in Atlanta (well, okay, a suburb)...
When you pray, move your feet! Today marks the 38th anniversary of the march on Selma, AL. Let's just remember how things used to be and let's be grateful that things have changed as much as they have. Meanwhile, I started elementary school in 1980 and there were black children in my school and I never even thought about it. Why do I even consider color now? What happened to me in the mean time?

Oh yeah, meant to say - I was in downtown Atlanta today and I am SOOO glad I didn't run into any of those anti-peace protestors (I am calling them that because to oppose war with Iraq is, in my opinion, to oppose peace for the US.) I was really debating what I would say and the multiple curse word speech was starting to win out over the thoughtful short commentary. After all, "F**k off, you f***ing f***head" rolls off the tongue much easier than "Shall we debate this issue?" and then proceeding to go over all the reasons that we need to disarm Iraq. Especially when shouted out the window of a speeding 'Stang! Then again, the epithet just makes me seem like an idiot, so there's the rub...
Okay, so I'm quiet in March. I'm still hibernating. Of course my daffodils are not - one has bloomed and one other is threatening to! My reality tv addiction is really starting to interfere with my life. Tonight, I was trying to watch

I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here!. I wound up focusing on
American Idol and
I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! and ignoring the other one. I'm SOOOO glad that Cris Judd won! After watching this show, I am no longer indifferent to J-Lo. Now I hate her. What a bitch. Of course, based on looks, Ben Affleck's gotta win, but Cris Judd is SOOOO sweet. The fact that every celebrity there loved him says something!
