Finding Ringold's CSX depot
Ringgold's depot is on a stretch of US 41 which parallels the interstate. You can get off at one exit, see the depot, and get on at the next exit.
If southbound take exit 140 Ga. Hwy. 151, "Ringgold LaFayette" near milepost 348. Turn left. After 0.5 mile the road dead-ends at US 41, turn right. The depot will be on the left just after "downtown" Ringgold. Turn left just before the railroad overpass. To return to I-75, turn left from the depot, passing under the railroad. Civil War buffs may want to check out the map at the Civil War roadside park 0.5 mile after passing under the tracks. Stay on US 41 and I-75 will be reached 3.4 miles from the depot.
If northbound take exit 139, US 41-76, "Ringgold" between mileposts 344 and 345. Turn right. The Civil War roadside park will be 2.9 at miles. The depot is 0.5 miles further, turn right immediately after going under the railroad overpass. The depot is on the right. To get back to I-75, turn right from the depot onto US 41. After 1.0 mile turn left onto Ga. Hwy. 151. I-75 is just ahead.
