It seems that there might have been a third... buried beneath the sand. There's an archaeologist named Zemaryalai Tarzi who intends to find out.
It seems that hatred and destruction don't probe deeply beneath the surface. And if you start digging carefully, you may find buried treasure.

My life-- and perhaps yours, too-- feels like an accretion of knowledge and relationships, each layer settling down on the whole to change and be changed by what is already there, and to lay the foundation for what is next.
One thing we can do is observe the process of life. In doing so we seek a balance between pushing forward too fast and holding back against the inevitable next change.
My roots are in the physical sciences. And my interests extend outward to art, biology, athletics, culture, and psychology, as well as inward to consciousness.
But this blog isn't about theory. It's about the knowledge we have access to right here in the trees, the cars, the bathtub, our job, tonight's casual dinner conversation, and indeed in tonight's dinner.
