The Series: The Miss en scène series of nine photocollage works is part of a larger collection entitled "Encuentros Rehechos" (remade findings) created in Rome 1991-93, using 'objets trouvés' (found objects) combined with original photography by the artist.Teatro Farnese, Parma, was commissioned in 1618 from the architect Gian Battista Aleotti by one of the Farnese dukes, Ranuccio I. This enormous theater, with a seating capacity of 4500, was built entirely of wood on the first floor of the Palazzo della Pilotta. It opened in 1628 with a royal tournament, Mercurio e Marte, to music by Monteverdi. Its last performance in 1732 celebrated the arrival of Carlo I of Bourbon.
