President Carter said the original song I performed, at his son Chip Carter's wedding at the Carter Center, was perfect for the situation.  The wedding was officiated by Andrew Young and just before I was to perform the song for Chip and Becky to march down to, President Carter stood up and told everyone the wedding would start in about two minutes, but in the meantime he asked everyone to listen to my song.  I was thrilled to say the least.  He had insisted that the complete song should be played, so Chip and Becky marched down toward the end of the song.  I have total respect for President Carter and this probably was the highlight of my career to date.
