GeekFest VII

ONCE AGAIN, we offer you the opportunity to meet regional USENET greats! (And not-so-greats.) ONCE AGAIN, you have the chance to put faces behind the posts and find out that we're not such a bad lot, after all. After all, you're not such a bad lot, either. (Are you? (Will you do it often?))

This is the PREMIERE USENET (and various other computing community creatures) GATHERING in the Triangle, and, if you miss it, you will hate yourself forever. Steve Crisp tried it, and just LOOK at what happened. Not a pretty sight, lemme tell you.

• WHERE: Jill Barrett's house. Directions available via the WWW or by emailing Jill herself.
• WHAT: "SHAKEN, NOT STIRRED" theme for GEEKFEST VII. That's right, folks. Bring your vodka martinis and James Bond videos. We're going all out. Rumor has it that Jill actually -can- crush men with her thighs.
• WHEN: Saturday, January 25th, 6PMish. Mark this on your calendars.
• WHY: Because we want to look important, and because Governor Hunt has promised kickbacks for our backing of his campaign this last year. I love politics.
• HOW: With a duck and a hose. How else?
• WHO: Well, you, of course, AND ANYONE ELSE WHO HEARS ABOUT IT. GeekFest VI saw a record attendance. Bring your wife and boss and help destroy the last record.

If I don't see YOU there, I just may defenestrate someone. Hmmm...one of these hapless newbies looks to be a good target....
