Amateur Radio, also known as Ham Radio is a great way to keep in touch with the World on a variety of FCC allocated frequencies. I currently hold a Technician Class licence (KF4OMN). If you're in the area, you can call me on the Blueridge Radio Club's 2 meter-net repeater 146.62MHz (-). I use a Yeasu FT-50 hand-held 2W (5W in the car).
