Wheaton About the Artist Kimberly Wheaton is a long-time resident of Durham, NC, along with her husband and two sweet children. She has always followed her artistic muse, leading her to explore many media, including watercolor, oils, acrylics, block printing, mosaics and jewlery making. She is continually in search of ways to bring together her many artistic passions and this has led her into some of her more recent mixed media pieces, like spirit houses. Her background in environmental science and her work with The Nature Conservancy has informed her art and shows in her affinity for landscapes, flowers, animals and the rest of the living world.
