PREPARATION AND PARTICIPATION All labyrinth walks are group experiences. There is opportunity for sharing and processing if desired, but it is possible to remain basically silent throughout the time spent at each event. Privacy is respected at all times, and each participant is invested in his or her own personal work and not on directing any one else's. Journaling is strongly encouraged and those of artistic inclination are welcome to bring portable art supplies for drawing. All participants are requested to walk either in socks or barefoot, unless shoes are required for medical purposes, to protect the canvas. Perfumes should not be worn for the comfort of other walkers who may be allergic. While generally people like to keep their hands free, it is certainly permissable to bring or carry with you personal momentos or items to enhance your walk. These might include prayer beads, a religious symbol, a stone or shell of some significance, etc. |
