"My career had been
in finance and business administration, and 2 1/2 years ago I left to pursue a
lifelong dream...working with children from disadvantaged or abusive situations.
My husband and I have been foster parents with Dekalb County for the past 2 1/2
years. We have devoted our lives to helping others, and have been greatly
rewarded by seeing the positive changes in the children's lives. We have had the
opportunity to work with 14 children, 10 within the first year!! We usually have
no more than five at a time. We hope to adopt two or three of the children who
are presently with us, and this does look realistic. Hoping someone will set up
a 25th re-union (Sorry, I'm too busy with the children's need to organize it
myself)!"
