Chicago Song

ANY: Are there monsters and gremlins and demons and such in Chicago?
Are there castles of marble with spires reaching up to the sky?
Are there princes & princesses too, living there in Chicago?
Are the streets paved with gold and do old Vikings go there to die?

Nikki: There are devils - but they call them crack dealers - there in
Chicago
And for princes they've got Michael Jordan - Is that what you meant?
But the streets are all asphalt, and no marble spires in Chicago
They've got skyscraping towers of glass, though, with spaces to rent.

ALL: It's a wonderful town, and it's my kind of town.
(They say.)
Nikki: Just like any other big city
ALL: And it's my kind of town, it's a wonderful town.
Nikki: Where the sky is grey and gritty.
ALL: And it's my kind of town, and it's my kind of town.
(I'm told.)
Sam : It sounds like a fable, but all of it's true
ALL: It's a wonderful town, it's a wonderful town.
Sam: Full of wonderful things you can do.

ANY: We've heard stories of mobsters and gunfighting there in Chicago
Is the town full of Wild West bank robbers like Billy the Kid?
And I've heard people say, "It's a jungle out there" in Chicago
Is it glutted man-eating tigers & man-eating squid?

Nikki: There are gangsters called gangbangers shooting it out in Chicago
They've got bank robbers, purse snatchers, car jackers, pushers
and pimps
But the only things eating are dogs eating dogs in Chicago
And they say "it's a jungle" cuz it smells like a cage full of chimps.

ALL: And it's my kind of town, it's a wonderful town.
(They say.)
Wiz: Where the underworld is so inviting
ALL: It's a wonderful town, and it's my kind of town.
And the giant rats are always biting.
ALL: It's a wonderful town, it's a wonderful town.
And it's my kind of town, and it's my kind of town.

ALL: There are gangsters and pushers and demons and such in Chicago
They've got skyscraping towers of glass reaching up through the
smog.
And the traffic is trying when bullets are flying.
(Take a force-field when you go.)
And if you own a pet, please watch out for the dog-eating dog!
It's a jungle out there, so look out for the dog-eating dog!
CHICAGO!
