To the group:

I am quite new to this reflector but my mail box has been flooded with arguements about using spread spectrum technology on the ham bands. I do not hold a Ph D in RF engineering but I do consider myself rather informed on most technological developments. I think for the sake of those of us who have plow through 6 page responses to questions about papers, someone should outline the principals of just how spread spectrum technology works. I know that there are a lot of up and coming hams who will be asking the same questions. How do I know whether to support or oppose something if I do not understand it well enough to know how it will affect me. Feel free to ansewer to the reflector so that others may benefit from your information. I hope my question is not too basic since I bet I'm not alone in my ignorance.

` Thanks Brad WB7TSO
