Interactive Computer-based Training
Troubleshooting/Testing Program
Cross Connection Control

This interactive computer tutorial/simulation is designed to teach students how to test and troubleshoot different assemblies and to provide instructors with a practical visual aid. One obstacle instructors face with cross-connection control is showing the internal operation of working and non-working valves. This program allows students to assess both functioning and malfunctioning valves and significantly reduces actual lab time required. The user-friendly structure teaches students to test and troubleshoot the following assemblies, using a three-valve or five-valve differential pressure gauge.

  1. Reduced Pressure Backflow Assembly
  2. Double Check Valve Assembly
  3. Pressure Vacuum Breaker Assembly

Each assembly is taught in five interactive components:

  1. Introduction:
  2. Valve Components:
  3. Assembly Operation:
  4. Test Equipment:
  5. Test Procedures:
  6. Introduction to Troubleshooting:
  7. Troubleshooting/Testing:
