Capture Window
Capture Window is used to capture all or part of the display screen as an image. The captured image may be saved to the clipboard and/or a file, and it may be previewed and edited before it's saved.
The online User Guide is here.
Installation
Capture Window runs on Windows 98 and up, though it appears Ctrl-PrtSc doesn't work on Win98.
For end-users: (non-developers)
- Open the Capture Window setup program. This will install Capture Window - you can choose where to install the program. (The default is 'C:\Program Files\Capture Window'.)
- Open the Microsoft Windows GDI+ setup program only if you are NOT running Windows XP. If you are running under Windows XP, skip this step since Windows GDI+ runtime files are already there. Note that this is a Microsoft site and your browser may be redirected to another page, so give it a few seconds. Look for "GDI+ RTM" - that page has the file (gdiplus_dnld.exe) to download. When prompted to install, click "Browse" and choose your Windows directory (e.g., C:\Windows). If you're not sure what your Windows directory is, choose the folder where you installed Capture Window.
For Dolphin Smalltalk developers,
- Download the Capture Window package.
- Download some supporting packages.
- Download the Gdiplus (GDI+) packages.
- Windows GDI+ runtime files are needed - see above.
