| I make my products in simplistic designs in order to feature the
quality look and unique beauty of the handspun yarn. All of my handspun
llama yarn is 75% llama and 25% sheep fiber. Adding sheep wool does not
detract from the luxury look and feel of llama, but adds stability to the
yarn so the finished product retains it's shape when woven or knitted.
| STUFFED HATS These hats are an adaptation of those traditionally
knitted for cold weather on the northeast coast of the U.S. and Canada.
My hats are knitted with handspun yarn from my Jacob sheep and llamas. In the knitting process, locks of washed sheep
wool are added to the inside of the hat. All hats are very cozy and
lightweight. They are perfect for snow, back packers, or just to keep
your head warm on a cold, windy day. |
SCARVES Make a fashion statement, or just wrap a soft, handspun, woven scarf around your neck to keep you nice and warm. All are 100% handspun in natural colors as they came from the animals so they will not fade. All scarves are approximately 11 inches wide and 80 inches long including hand twisted fringe.
| AFGHANS The afghan can be a decorator item, but also something to
snuggle up in on a cold winter evening. Again these are made with 100%
handspun yarn from my llamas and sheep. They are finished with hand
twisted fringe. All afghans are approximately 42 inches wide and 80
inches long, including the fringe. |
LLAMA TASSELS I really enjoy making these little jewels. Tassels are great for parades and special occasions. The tassels are made with imported Swedish wool yarn combined with a thin metallic thread, so they shimmer elegantly in the sunlight. They are decorated with strands
of colored glass and gold or silver beads. No two set of tassels are alike. They
have clips so they can be attached to the side rings on the halter.
Tassels, including hooks, are approximately 9 inches in length.
Assorted colors available. Price: $35.00 per pair * Close-up of tassels
| I have found that my llamas love wearing tassels. They always stand a little taller since they know they look extra special. The tassels can really dress up a parade pack.
If you see something you would like to purchase, email me and indicate the item. I will hold it for up to two weeks while you send a check or money order. (Sorry, I can't accept credit cards.) All prices include shipping, handling, and California sales tax. If you are interested in having me spin and weave something from your own llama wool, email and tell me what you'd like. You can see more of my creations on my Gallery page, and learn more about my background on my Weaving and Spinning Lessons page.
