Someone once asked "why should I join your school instead of one of the other ones in town?" Good question. In true Zen fashion, here are more questions to ponder as you follow your path: Who Teaches the Actual Classes? Wouldn't you like to have a Hall of Fame instructor with
25 years of teaching experience, several black belt degrees, and formal
training in education teaching your classes? Especially if they were to
teach your children? A "junior instructor", "team leader",
or less experienced instructor teaching classes could effect the quality
or safety of your training. Could a 15 year old really understand the
needs of an older adult? Can a school who duplicates instructors and black
belts faster really provide a higher quality program? Are the Classes Age Specific? What does a 7year old and a 35 year old have in common?
Answer: Not much! They learn differently, are different physically, and
have different needs for the martial arts. Could a class, no matter how
well run, really address the needs of both in the same class and with
the same lesson plan? Do You Pay Hidden Fees for "Extras?" If you currently train in the martial arts, you know that every time you turn around, the instructor is trying to get you to take your next belt promotion test. That is because there is a test fee collected. We have no test fees. In fact, we have no sign-up fees or association dues. There is no extra charge for the Black Belt Club, Leadership Team, or Instructor Training. You don't even have to purchase more equipment after each belt promotion. |
