It all started in 1987 when I started during sound here in Atlanta. Folks seemed to like the way I did sound so they asked me to record them as well. The rest is history. (I owe a lot to Stoney Johnson {may he rest in peace}, Bruce Bennett and Rex Garrett for their wisdom and marvelous advice).
Here is a list of some of the folks I have recorded:
I also used to set up shop in Ms. King's garage at the Martin Luther King Non-Voilent Social Change Group Center for King Fest. It was an outside concert that was held every other weekend during the summer. This gig went on for five years. We produced a 4 camera shot with all the microphone feeds fed to me. I mixed all the tracks down and sent them to the video truck. Our production aired on Atlanta PBS for years.
Here is a parcel list of folks that I have recorded at the King Center:
Also, every year I record the bagpipes at the The Stone Mountain Highland Scottish Games Tattoo. It's an outside concert where military marching bands get to show off thier stuff. These bands come from all aroud the world to perform in this event.
I am also busy before every major parade here in Atlanta. Rex Garrett (owner of SHOWORKS) hires me to record and splice cassette tapes for all the floats that go in the parade. We do the Atlanta MLK Parade, 4th of July Parade and the Christmas Parade. We have recently started doing some work for the NY Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. Listen for all the music in these parades. It's bound to be me who put it all together.
