the Wedding of Monica and Bram
The night of August 16 found us at the rehearsal for Monica and Bram’s wedding. Theresa and Paul had come in from Minnesota, so we knew we were in for a fun evening.
The next day we followed the directions (which were MUCH better that the night before) and signs to the Ashby Inn. Located in Paris, Va. it was a beautiful garden setting for the wedding.
Bram and his best man, Andy, waiting for Monica to walk down the aisle with her Dad.
Monica glowed throughout the day and looked beautiful, The ceremony was performed by their friend Lisa Beske. Readings by both fathers were also part of the moving ceremony.
The Bridesmaids Paul, Melanie, and Theresa.

The entire wedding party

Theresa DeGeest knew how to keep cool as she went about her duties as Matron of Honor.

Paul DeGeest made a wonderful bridesmaid.

Our new friends, Shelly and John, Bram’s cousins from Connecticut.

The bride and groom with their parental units.
The “Inn dog” was less than impressed with the whole thing…
Greg was more than happy to wear his uniform, as Bram had asked, but changed into aloha shirt and slacks right after the ceremony.
A trio played before and after the ceremony
The cake was cut, toasts were made, and eventually the newlyweds would end up in the “nuptial bed.”

Even heard a rumor that the bed had been short sheeted!! Can't imagine how that could happen.

Thanks a million to the wonderful Sherry Gardner
(who will hopefully forgive me for de-constructing her page layout!)
