About Atlanta Council Nº 660
The Atlanta Council of the Knights of Columbus, chartered on May 25, 1902,
was the first council in northern Georgia.
The council's first home stood at 18 E. Pine Street. Later
we moved to the corner of Peachtree & 12th Streets NW., near the
beautifully restored Margaret Mitchell House.
We moved into our present home in 1965. It is located on the west side of Buford Highway
between Lenox Road and North Druid Hills Road at the Fulton County line (view map).
Our council home features a club-room, open to members and their guests,
with a cash bar and adjacent game room. A recent addition is our deck overlooking
a branch of the Peachtree Creek. Our council home also features a large main hall
with a dance floor; it can be rented through our
landlord, the Columbian Building Association, at 404-636-9237.
We are in the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
Among our two hundred plus members is the Most Rev. John F. Donoghue,
Archbishop Emeritus of Atlanta.
