      Annual salary range for officer......................................$34,236-$55,619 (10/00)
      Annual salary range for officer......................................$35,256-$57,283 (10/01)
      Annual salary range for officer......................................$36,316-$59,009 (10/02)

 

      Requirements for employment:
  1.   Must be a U.S. citizen
  2.   Must have a valid Florida driver's license, or be qualified to obtain one.
  3.   Must be at least 21 years of age.
  4.   Able to pass Physical Agility's Test (PAT)
  5.   Associate's Degree or equivalent (60-semester hours or 90-quarter hours) - OR - current enrollment in an accredited college or university for the total amount of remaining college credit needed to meet the education requirement. (Proof of current course registration is required to process the employment application. A transcript and/or grade results of current coursework is required to be eligible for
    employment).
  6.   Current State of Florida Certification as a Law  Enforcement Officer, completion of
      all certification requirements, or proof of current enrollment in the Basic Recruit
  7.   Training Program
  8.   Evaluation of training and experience
  9.   Pre-employment wellness test (pass/fail); Physical Abilities Testing (pass/fail)
  10.   B-Pad - Video based test of interpersonal skills and judgement (pass/fail)
  11.   Character and background investigation
  12.   Polygraph examination
  13.   Psychological examination
  14.   Medical examination administered by City designated physicians
  15.   Drug screening

     Benefits
