OBITUARY

Herbert R. Billman, 80, of Bloomington, MN, passed on to glory on April 23, 2004, after a 6 month battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth, their 4 children & 18 grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by us, but he has gone on to a better place. ‘The best is yet to come.’

Reviewal will be on Tuesday, April 27 from 6-8 pm at the church and one hour before the memorial service.
The memorial service will begin at 10am on Wednesday, April 28 at Bethany Missionary Church, 6900 Auto Club Road, Bloomington (952-946-4186).

All are invited to the luncheon which will follow the service, followed by interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to Bethany International, to establish a missionary training school in Ghana, West Africa, where Dr. Billman faithfully served through his ophthalmologic work and in proclaiming the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

He and Ruth spent a total of 22 years in missionary service, first in Guinea Bissau, then to Vietnam, Timor, and Ghana. His one urgent desire was that we all make peace with God through calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

THANK YOU to all who have so fervently prayed on behalf of my dad and mom. He is at rest. He is totally healed now. We covet your continued prayers for my mom. After 52 years of always having someone 'to talk and pray things over with', it's going to be a new day for her.

We hope that many of you can come to the funeral. You are all cordially invited.

Carol

I plan on sending a copy of the Memorial Bulletin Tribute to all of you via email when it is ready.
