| Rumpelmintz
I got Rumpelmintz as a kitten. She was the kitten of a pregnant
stray my friend Larina took in. She was born on April 19, 1995 (Larina's
birthday). She's the only kitten I've ever had... all my other cats
were 3 years or older when I adopted them.
She doesn't care much for other cats, even though she's lived with
other cats her whole life (except for the one week between Molly's
passing and Kitty.com's adoption).
I've never been able to break her habit of being up on the kitchen
counters - and have given up. She likes to sit in laps, but not
to be petted. She loves to investigate guests, but often bites them.
Rumpelmintz has an intestinal disorder which used to cause her
to vomit very frequently. When I adopted Ralphie, I learned about
intestinal disorders and requested the vet do a GI Function Lab
which confirmed Rumpelmintz had such a disorder. By changing her
diet to a grain-free wet food and supplementing with vitamin B12
injections, her health has improved and she vomits much less frequently.
As a side benefit, her fur which always tended to matt and be full
of dandruff, is soft and silky. She's also lost a little weight
and isn't "chubby" anymore.
