Schroeder, Adolf E. and Carla Schultz-Geisberg: HOLD DEAR, AS ALWAYS: Jette, a German Immigrant Life in Letters. Published by University of Missouri Press, Columbia MO 65211. Henriette Geisberg Bruns arrived in Westphalia, Missouri on All Souls' Day 2 November 1836, and died in Jefferson City MO 7 November 1899. Dr. Schroeder has translated her letters home, from the frontier.
